Yesterday, I was reminded of my why.

I had the privilege of speaking to one of the students from our inaugural cohort of The First-Time Manager Intensive™️ yesterday. She graduated from the course in December 2020, and I was just making some phone calls to check in and see how things were going.

Her excitement to hear from me was palpable through the phone. She RAVED about having just updated her action plan template (a tool given in the class) for a meeting she was having with her boss on her priorities. (Did you catch that this is a year later!). “Your ears must have been ringing because I was just talking about you” is what she told me. She then went on to share how she has been putting all the tools from the course to work. Her words not mine – “you have to actually use the tools we were given to see a change. You can’t just listen to the advice.” She recounted some of the successes she has had with her team and in her personal leadership journey because of those tools and the advice given in class.

Wow! She gets it. She understands that you have to invest the time to be better.

This. THIS is my why. THIS is OUR why at PAISE Leadership. THIS is what keeps us going. Knowing we are helping great people become great leaders.

Leadership is the ability to rally people not for a single event, but for years. -Simon Sinek

I started this business because I wanted to provide high-quality leadership development for those who were not in companies with in-house learning academies. I was meeting so many great people who were treading water trying to figure out how to be a better manager but struggling to make sense of all the advice in articles on the latest tagline of leadership, books, and from mentors. I knew I could serve more leaders who desired but did not have access to great leadership development through their company and give them just what they need to lead confidently and not fumble through it.

Every employee deserves a manager, a leader who cares about them and can provide an experience that helps them grow.

Every manager and leader deserves the tools to help them succeed.
